Greece keeps its crown as the world's second-best Blue Flag coastline

Greece earned 624 Blue Flags in 2026 — 14% of all awarded beaches on Earth — holding second place globally behind Spain. Crete led with 154 flags; Halkidiki topped prefectures with 93. Eighteen beaches have now held the eco-label for 35 straight years.
