He started at four, with a whale: at 11, Aneeshwar receives the Junior Jane Goodall Earth Medal

Aneeshwar Kunchala was four years old when he learned that a whale had died after swallowing plastic — and decided other children should know what plastic pollution does to wildlife. Seven years on, the UK-based young presenter and campaigner, whose family roots are in Andhra Pradesh, India, is set to receive the Junior Jane Goodall Earth Medal, announced by the STARMUS festival on 10 October. The medal will be presented during STARMUS VIII in Tenerife and La Palma, Spain, from 17 to 22 October, recognising his work encouraging children to protect the natural world.

The upbeat factora four-year-old's heartbreak became seven years of showing other children how to care.
