He was reporting on the floods — then he swam out and saved a driver from a sinking car

In Morayfield, north of Brisbane in Queensland, about 170 mm (6.7 inches) of rain had fallen when a four-wheel drive stalled in flood water and began to sink. Will Murray, a reporter with Australia's public broadcaster ABC who was there covering the flooding, swam out with a bystander and pulled the driver free moments before the vehicle went under. ABC camera operator Liz Pickering, who witnessed the rescue, said the pair definitely saved the man's life.
