Hong Kong's teachers-of-teachers crack the world's top two

The University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Education has climbed to second in the world — first in Asia — in the 2026 ShanghaiRanking for the study of education, its highest position ever. The ranking weighs some 2,000 universities across 57 subjects on nine measures of research quality, impact and collaboration. Dean Prof. Yang Rui credits 'the collective efforts' of faculty publishing in the field's leading journals.
