In Bengaluru and Jodhpur, young Indian builders are making healthcare you can carry

Two young Indian teams are shrinking healthcare until it fits in a bag. In Bengaluru, Remidio has built a portable eye scanner that works with a smartphone and artificial intelligence to spot glaucoma and diabetic eye disease — without the drops that dilate pupils and blur vision for hours, a real barrier for working patients. At IIT Jodhpur's incubation ecosystem, FlexiRelief SmartCare has built a smart glove and band that deliver gentle heat and vibration to ease the stiff, painful hands of arthritis patients, controlled from a phone. Both are early-stage, and both will need proper clinical validation — but they point the same way: diagnosis and relief that travel to the patient, not the other way round.
