India's newest eye in the sky will watch the whole country from 36,000 km up
ISRO's EOS-05, which lifted off on September 4, 2026, is India's first imaging satellite parked in geosynchronous orbit — a 'sweet spot' where it moves in step with Earth's rotation and stays over one region. From there it can photograph the entire country every 30 minutes, tracking crop health, floods, forest fires and glaciers in near-real time.
The upbeat factorA camera that never blinks, guarding farms and forests alike.
