Kenya climbs five places in the Global Innovation Index

Kenya rose from 102nd to 97th in the 2026 Global Innovation Index, with the national innovation agency crediting better coordination across the startup ecosystem. The country ranks 8th globally in utility models and 30th in venture capital and ICT services exports.
