Kenya's Ngetich smashes the half-marathon world record

Agnes Ngetich, 25, broke the women's half-marathon world record at the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, clocking 1:05:15 — one second faster than compatriot Peres Jepchirchir's 2020 mark. Running alone from the opening kilometre, she led from gun to tape for her second world title of 2026.
