Martina Weil runs Chile into the record books

Martina Weil clocked 50.45 seconds in the 400 meters at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, a new championship record for the women. She was one of the standouts in an edition that produced 54 new records across four sports. A fast new track helped, but the legs were all hers.
