More than two million California students are getting free access to AI training from four tech giants

California has signed agreements with Google, Adobe, IBM and Microsoft to bring their AI tools, training and curriculum support into public high schools, community colleges and California State Universities — reaching more than two million students, at no cost to the state or to schools. 'Preparing tomorrow's innovators, today,' Governor Gavin Newsom called it. The voluntary programmes pair software with teacher support and hands-on projects, aiming to ensure the state that builds AI also teaches its own young people to use it well — including critical thinking about what the tools get wrong.
