'My child is doing better and has become more active'
That's Jouriya, a mother in Al-Hasakeh, Syria, describing what happened after her child received nutrition support at a UNICEF-backed health center. Since the start of 2026, UNICEF and its partners have reached more than 39,000 children and 21,000 women in Syria with health and nutrition services — screening young children for malnutrition, counseling mothers on feeding and hygiene, and guiding families back for follow-up care. Health workers say the children keep getting stronger, one visit at a time.
