Nepal is taking its mountains to Dhaka — and inviting Bangladesh to share the journey
Fifteen Nepali tourism companies, led by the Nepal Tourism Board, are in Dhaka this week for the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair, with a pitch that goes beyond trekking: Nepal as a year-round destination for culture, heritage, wildlife, spirituality and wellness. The two neighbours are exploring joint travel packages and group tours, making it easy for Bangladeshi travellers to pair a city break with the Himalayas a short flight away. It is regional tourism built the friendly way — neighbouring countries selling each other's strengths, together.
The upbeat factortwo neighbours deciding their shared map is an asset — and packaging it for the people who live on both sides.
