Oman plans four giant 1 GW solar plants on the road to 30% clean power

Oman plans four 1-gigawatt solar power plants across Adam, Al Kamil, Thamrait and Mahadha, commissioning from 2028 as part of its push to generate at least 30% of electricity from renewables by 2030. The national grid operator expects renewables' share of installed capacity to climb from 13.6% in 2026 to 45% by 2030, with over 2 GW of wind alongside.
