Pakistan are through to the Asian Games gold-medal match
Rain cut the Asian Games semifinal in Nisshin, Japan, to 13 overs a side — and then Abdul Samad (30 off 15) and Hasan Nawaz (an unbeaten 27 off 22) made it look like plenty. Pakistan chased Bangladesh's 111 for 7 with seven balls to spare, sealing the six-wicket win and a place in Saturday's gold-medal match. Bangladesh's Towhid Hridoy had earlier lit up the gloom with 42 off 25. Pakistan now await the winner of India vs Sri Lanka for the final.
