Pakistan moves a step closer to about $1.2 billion in IMF funding

The IMF reached a staff-level agreement with Pakistan on October 7. If the Executive Board gives its approval, about $1.0 billion would flow under the Extended Fund Facility and about $210 million under the climate-focused Resilience and Sustainability Facility — bringing total disbursements under the two programs to about $5.7 billion.
