Pancreatic enzymes, reborn as a cancer fighter in the lab

In Melbourne, a peer-reviewed pilot study in Scientific Reports tested PRP, a blend of two natural pancreatic enzymes, against 24 human cancer cell lines. The blend slowed cancer-cell growth, blocked the blood-vessel growth tumours rely on, and in animal models cut pancreatic tumour weight by about 86% at the higher dose, with no treatment-related harm seen. It is early, lab-stage work — and a genuinely new direction for two of the hardest cancers.
