Paraguay's padel duo takes the continent's crown

Martín Abud and Facundo Dehnike beat Argentina's pair 6-4, 7-6 in front of 4,100 fans to win a historic padel gold at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, spoiling an Argentine clean sweep on home turf. Abud called it the highest level Paraguayan padel has ever reached. The pair had already booked their place at the Doha World Cup with this form.
