Peruvian and Mexican avocado growers team up, so good avocados can grow somewhere all 52 weeks a year
Avocados ripen by season and by hemisphere, which is why supply stutters. Camposol, a fresh-food company founded in Peru with more than 20,000 employees, has become a shareholder in Jaliscavo, a Mexican avocado company owned by its own growers — 12 grower partners with 44 orchards across Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán, and a packing plant in Gómez Farías that can process up to 48,000 metric tons a year with orchard-to-box traceability. Announced at the Global Produce & Floral Show 2026 in Orlando, the partnership pairs Mexico's harvest window with Camposol's farms in Peru and Colombia, aiming at fresh avocados 52 weeks a year — and steadier livelihoods for the growers on both ends.
