Publix is giving $25 million to food banks across the Southeast

Publix Super Markets Charities is donating $25 million — its largest gift yet — to more than 350 food banks and nonprofits, including 43 Feeding America partners. More than 8,000 employees are also volunteering during the company's annual service week. For a grocer, feeding neighbors isn't charity on the side; it's the job.
