Seychelles has already protected over 30% of its ocean

The Seychelles archipelago has protected more than 30% of its waters — hitting the global 2030 target four years early — through a pioneering 2015 debt conversion for marine protection and an ocean bond. The country is now building the monitoring and community-led management to make the protection real.
