Six turbines, 53 days: Georgia's Breti wind farm is fully installed
On a mountain ridge in Georgia, all six turbines of the 43.2-megawatt Breti wind farm are now standing — installed in just 53 days. The machines, each rated at 7.2 megawatts and designed for mountainous terrain, are the first of their platform to be used in Georgia, and the project is developer Vento Energy's latest in a country where wind power is still young. Since entering Georgia in 2024, turbine maker Goldwind has secured nine wind projects there totalling 438 megawatts — clean capacity arriving ridge by ridge.
