South Carolina students just posted their best report card in history
The 2025–26 SC READY results, released October 10, are the strongest in the assessment's history: 61.3% of students meet or exceed standards in English language arts and 47.9% in math, both records. At Meeting Street Elementary–Burns in Charleston, where 89% of students come from low-income households, nearly 65% now score at or above grade level. The state is moving toward its goal of 75% of students at or above grade level by 2030.
