Sri Lanka drops visa fees for 40 countries to welcome more visitors

Since May 25, 2026, nationals of 40 countries — including India, China, the UK, the US, Japan, Australia and much of Europe — can visit Sri Lanka with a free tourist ETA for up to 30 days with double entry. The move pairs with reciprocal arrangements for Maldives, Seychelles and Singapore, cutting the cost of discovering the island.
