Step inside a painting: Wales opens a free immersive world for its best-loved artist

Kyffin Williams painted the mountains and coasts of Wales like no one else — and now the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth is letting visitors step inside his world. Profiad Kyffin, a free 30-minute immersive experience blending art, sound and digital media for up to 10 people at a time, opens to the public on November 18, in Welsh and English, with booking from November 2. No ticket price, no journey to a distant capital: a national library turning its greatest painter into a room anyone can walk into.
