Sun by day, wind by night: Spain's first hybrid power deal signs on the dotted line
Solar panels sleep at night and wind turbines rest on calm days — so Encavis has signed Spain's first hybrid power purchase agreement, blending both. The deal will supply Visalia with 60 gigawatt-hours of renewable electricity a year for three and a half years, drawn from a 199-megawatt portfolio in Aragon, near Zaragoza: two solar parks and three wind farms whose strengths peak at different hours and seasons. It is not a pledge but a signed supply contract — a template for selling clean power that behaves more like the steady supply customers actually need.
The upbeat factorsunshine and wind, scheduled like colleagues — clean power that shows up around the clock.
