Sydney is building the Southern Hemisphere's biggest CBD solar farm
The International Convention Centre Sydney is covering its rooftops with 4,500 solar panels — set to become the largest solar farm in any city centre in the Southern Hemisphere — cutting 2,000 tonnes of carbon a year, like planting a 100,000-tree forest on the roof. Combined with purchased renewable power, the government-owned site will run entirely on green energy.
