The BBC's Christmas gift: three bungling baddies outwitted by a girl and a mouse

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's latest picture-book triumph is getting the BBC Christmas treatment. The Baddies — a Troll, a Witch, and a Ghost who proudly declare themselves the baddest of them all — get more than they bargained for when they're challenged to steal a girl's blue spotty hanky. Voiced by Sheridan Smith, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, and rising star Hammed Animashaun, it's the 14th Donaldson-Scheffler animation for the BBC, and as Steadman puts it, "a satisfying, funny tale about kindness quietly beating big bullies."
