The Philippines will feed 4.6 million schoolchildren, 200 days a year

The Department of Education is rolling out a ₱25.6-billion School-Based Feeding Program for 2026–2027 — more than double last year's budget — reaching 4.63 million learners for 200 feeding days, up from 120. Kindergarten to Grade 1 pupils eat universally; no child has to prove hunger to get lunch.
