The space station's five-year power upgrade is nearly complete - the final solar wings launch this week

The International Space Station is about to run at full power. The fourth and final pair of roll-out solar array wings - built by Redwire for NASA under contract with Boeing - is set to launch aboard SpaceX's CRS-35 resupply mission, with liftoff targeted for October 13 from Cape Canaveral. Since 2021, six of the flexible wings have been unfurled on the station; all eight together will deliver more than 160 kilowatts of power for over a decade, modernizing the orbiting laboratory's supply to support research through 2030. NASA confirms the final pair completes the power augmentation - the capstone of a five-year upgrade built through public-private partnership.
