The wallpaper that drinks the air and makes electricity

Seokheun “Sean” Choi got tired of watching batteries die. The Binghamton professor and his students — Guangya “Roger” Yuan and Yang “Lexi” Gao — papered a wall with 1,596 tiny generators that sip moisture from indoor air and turn it into electricity, enough to run a wireless keyboard with no batteries at all. Your breath, your cooking, your shower all feed it — and it quietly dehumidifies the room while it works. The work appears in Advanced Energy Materials.
