The WHO just held up India's health system as one to learn from

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus congratulated India's health minister on what he called 'impressive health gains' — from expanding primary care through some 160,000 community Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, to raising hospital births from 78 to 93 percent. He also praised India's ASHA health workers, the women who carry care door to door, supporting mothers 'from conception through adolescence.'
