The world's biggest battery farm just got bigger — in Gujarat

At Khavda in Gujarat, Adani Green Energy has brought 481.9 megawatts of new renewable capacity and 3,081 megawatt-hours of battery storage online — built in just 14 months. Its operational battery storage now stands at 6.63 gigawatt-hours, among the largest single-location battery installations on Earth and more than half of India's national total. The stored sunshine could power roughly 2 million homes for a day. 'Storage makes renewable power firmer, more reliable and dispatchable when the grid needs it,' said Executive Director Sagar Adani.
