Two South Korean experts just won key posts shaping Asia-Pacific telecoms rules for 2027-28

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT announced that two of its experts have been elected to key roles in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) telecommunications working group. Jang Ju-dong of the National Radio Research Agency will serve as secretary of the Conformance and Interoperability Steering Group, and Park Jung-eun of the Korea Information Society Development Institute as deputy secretary of the Digital Economy Steering Group, for 2027-28. The group coordinates ICT policy across the Asia-Pacific — the unglamorous plumbing of digital trade, standards and trust that lets the region's economies connect.

The upbeat factorregional cooperation, staffed — the quiet diplomacy that keeps the digital world interoperable.
