Two students in Ansan would not walk past a stranded neighbour — and their city just said thank you

Jeon Cheon-ha of Gyeongan High School and Jeong In-gyeom of Sangnok High School were heading home on 23 September when they found an elderly neighbour stranded in the middle of the road — the battery of the person's electric wheelchair had died. The two students moved the neighbour and the wheelchair to the safety of the sidewalk so no passing car could cause harm. On 30 October, Ansan mayor Lee Min-keun presented both with model citizen certificates, thanking them for not looking away.

The upbeat factortwo teenagers, one dead wheelchair battery, and a simple decision — nobody gets left in the road.
