Upside down is her happy place: 23 nose-to-ground handstand push-ups, a world record

Stefanie Millinger of Austria jokes that she has lived her life 'upside down' — and on the evidence, she is not exaggerating. The 34-year-old extreme athlete has now claimed the Guinness World Records title for the most consecutive nose-to-ground handstand push-ups by a woman: 23 in a row, each one lowering her face all the way to the floor and pressing back up, on her hands alone. It joins a cabinet that already includes a 53-minute bar hang, 753 chest-to-ground burpees in an hour and a 10-minute L-sit. Her verdict on the new record? She is pleased with how cleanly she did it — and, she teased, she will probably give it a second try.

The upbeat factorgravity, politely declined — 23 times in a row, with a grin and a promise to try for more.
