Uruguay's first green hydrogen trucks hit the forest road

Uruguay began its first green hydrogen pilot, Kahirós: a solar plant of 8,000 panels near Fray Bentos powers an electrolyzer that splits water into hydrogen, fueling six electric trucks hauling wood for Montes del Plata. The project will cut up to 870 tons of CO2 a year, like taking 300 cars off the road. A country already running on nearly 100% renewable electricity is now greening its trucks.
