Young Rwandans didn't just get consulted — they helped write the jobs policy for the next decade

At EU–ILO Youth Employment Expert Network events in Kigali on 7–9 October, young Rwandans held a dedicated session, drafted a joint Call to Action, and presented their recommendations directly to the Ministry of Public Service and Labour — input that fed into validation of Rwanda's National Employment Policy 2026–2036. The work is linked to a Luxembourg-funded ILO project on decent jobs and skills for youth in Rwanda's digital economy. The people the policy will shape most were in the room, writing it.

The upbeat factora generation handed the pen on the policy that decides its own working life.
