Young voices at the table: Ghana's AIDS Commission opens a Youth Desk

Young people carry a growing share of Ghana's HIV infections — and too often, the programmes meant to protect them are designed without them in the room. The Ghana AIDS Commission has launched a dedicated Youth Desk to change that: a standing platform where young people's concerns about prevention, testing and treatment get direct attention, and where youth organisations, schools and health stakeholders coordinate. Reported by TV3 Ghana on Monday, the launch aims to normalise open conversation about sexual health, encourage voluntary testing and early diagnosis, and pull young Ghanaians into the national response as participants rather than audiences.

The upbeat factorthe people most affected, finally handed a desk of their own in the room where decisions are made.
