€150 million (about $176 million) more for Europe's clean-energy builders — and the fund is only at its first close
Sosteneo, a clean-energy infrastructure investor, has completed the first external close of its second fund, adding more than €150 million (about $176 million) in new commitments and taking the fund past €450 million (about $527 million). The money is earmarked for construction-ready clean-energy projects across Europe — the stage where good plans most often stall for lack of finance — with a focus on grid flexibility and secure supplies. Its first fund's 39 projects are about 75% operational, and the wider platform now manages €1.1 billion (about $1.29 billion).
The upbeat factormoney aimed precisely at the gap — projects ready to build, waiting only for backing.
