17,500 Kenyan farmers are getting backup — and 5,100 children have been screened for malnutrition

In Tana River County, Cecelia Achieng from Manyatta Village in Bura puts it simply: the LEAF programme helped her household put food on the table and earn an income. Now that long-running partnership between ADM and Concern Worldwide US is expanding to reach 17,500 farmers in Kenya, helping them grow more, sell more and weather hard seasons. Since January, the programme's community health promoters have also screened more than 5,100 children for malnutrition, visiting families across three project areas with nutrition guidance alongside farming support — food, income and healthier children, growing together.

The upbeat factorwhen farmers thrive and children are checked early, a whole county eats better.
