India's science portals now speak 22 languages

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the redeveloped official portals for the Department of Science and Technology (dst.gov.in) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (most.gov.in) in New Delhi on October 9. The portals feature real-time translation across 22 scheduled Indian languages through Bhashini, the government's AI-driven translation engine, alongside screen-reader compatibility, adjustable font sizes, and high-contrast modes. Designed as single-window hubs, they consolidate research funding, biomedical schemes, fellowships, and scientific updates for students, innovators, healthcare researchers, and everyday citizens.

The upbeat factorHope: world-class research, now readable by everyone it belongs to.
