77 out of 100 tumours shrank: an under-the-skin shot brings new hope in head and neck cancer
For people whose head and neck cancer has come back or spread, the first treatment decision matters enormously — nearly 60% never reach a second one. In Cohort 5 of the OrigAMI-4 study, a first-line combination built around RYBREVANT FASPRO — amivantamab given as a simple injection under the skin, rather than a long infusion — shrank tumours in 77% of patients whose cancer was not the HPV-linked kind, and wiped them out completely in 14%. Every patient who could be measured saw some shrinkage, and nearly two-thirds of those responses were still going after a median follow-up of 10.6 months. The results, shared at the ESMO Congress 2026 in Madrid, now feed into a larger Phase 3 study.
