A $1 million grant will help Brother Wolf rebuild the adoption centre Hurricane Helene took

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue has been bettering the lives of animals — and the people who love them — in Western North Carolina since 2007, helping hundreds of animals every year. When Hurricane Helene devastated the region, its Asheville adoption centre was among the losses. Now the ASPCA has granted the rescue $1 million toward rebuilding it. Together with its community of supporters, Brother Wolf is rebuilding a future for the region's animals: a new centre where hundreds more dogs and cats each year will wait — safely, and not for long — for the people who will take them home.

The upbeat factora beloved rescue, knocked down by a hurricane, gets a million-dollar hand back up.
