A city worker climbed into a storm drain — to rescue one child's stuffed cat
On the way to school in Riverside, Ohio, a young child lost a beloved stuffed cat down a storm drain — the kind of small disaster that feels enormous when you are small. The child's mum called the city, and public works employee Kevin Miller came out, lifted the drain cover and, reaching down with a grabber tool, fished the toy back to safety. The City of Riverside shared photos of the rescue, noting: 'It may seem like a small act of kindness, but to a child, that stuffed animal means the world.' No cape, no ceremony — just a worker who understood exactly what was at stake.
The upbeat factorproof that no act of kindness is too small when it is the whole world to someone.
