Ethiopia, the birthplace of Arabica coffee, earned a record over $3 billion from coffee exports in the 2025/26 fiscal year, with prices hitting $7,500 a tonne. The same week, 147 new coffee professionals graduated — part of a push to double export earnings to $6 billion within five years.
