He saved her baby years ago. This week he walked into her restaurant.

A Birmingham couple named a restaurant dish "670" after their daughter's birth weight in grams — born at 23 weeks, weighing just 670g. When diners heard the story behind the dish, one revealed he was Dr Richard Mupenamunda, the paediatrician from Heartlands Hospital who had cared for their daughter on the neonatal ward years earlier. It was the first time they'd seen him since she fought for her life. "I had no idea," he said. "It was quite an amazing revelation."
