In Tripoli, young Lebanese are writing their own national youth strategy — the ministry is listening
Young people from across North Lebanon — universities, community centres, NGOs and vocational institutes — gathered in Tripoli on October 28 to shape Lebanon's National Youth Strategy 2026–2030, in consultations led by the Ministry of Youth and Sports with UNICEF and UNFPA. It is the second national consultation, and the first held regionally, in a process launched in February. Participants set priorities across education and skills, jobs and entrepreneurship, health and well-being, digital engagement and AI, environmental sustainability and active citizenship. Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Nora Bayrakdarian joined the session. The strategy is being built, deliberately, from the answers of the people it will govern.
