One Colorado rescuer, 31 bear cubs: Nanci Limbach has a 'bear-y' big — and very adorable — problem this fall
Most autumns bring a handful. This fall, Colorado wildlife rescuer Nanci Limbach has 31 bear cubs in her care — orphaned and distressed youngsters who end up in rehabilitation, where they get food, care and a chance to grow strong enough for the wild. NPR's Scott Simon caught up with Limbach for Weekend Edition Saturday to talk through the joyful logistics of feeding and raising a small army of cubs at once. Thirty-one cubs means thirty-one second chances — and one very busy rescuer at the heart of it.
The upbeat factor31 cubs, one rescuer, and a fall spent entirely on second chances.
