Scotland puts new money behind rivers, hills and a landscape healing from fire

Scotland has committed new funding to nature recovery projects at home, including river restoration and recovery work in the Cairngorms after one of the most significant wildfire events in recent years. The announcement was made as Scottish representatives joined subnational governments and cities from around the world in Armenia to share work on the global nature challenge. 'Nature recovery is a shared global challenge,' the Scottish Government said, committing to turn 'ambitions for nature and climate into action, both at home and on the international stage' — with the investment aimed at real benefits for environment, wildlife and communities.
