Six solar farms switch on at once: 236 megavolt-amperes of new sunshine in two Australian states
Six Australian solar farms have been fully commissioned and energised at once. Ingeteam supplied 144 of its central inverters — the boxes that turn a solar panel's raw output into grid-ready power — for the projects across New South Wales and Queensland: Corowa, Junee, Wagga and Wagga Stage 2, Wyalong and Kingaroy, developed and built by Metlen. Together they add 236 megavolt-amperes of generating capacity, roughly enough for tens of thousands of homes at midday. Ingeteam has operated in Australia for more than a decade from North Wollongong; this portfolio, it said, deepens its work with Metlen across the country's fastest-growing renewable regions.
